The Bridges Project: Different thinking for a different politics?
2016 will be remembered as a political turning point for Western democracies: Brexit further shattered a fragile Europe and Trump’s unlikely rise to power began to re-write the US’s role in the world. 2017 is set to be no less unpredictable with voters coming to terms with the effects of more referendums, further elections in France, Germany and potentially Italy. It feels like a new and deeply uncertain world.
A new political landscape needs new kinds of conversations that can help us think differently about politics and policy. Our Bridges Project does exactly that.
Watch our new short film to see how using different ‘lenses’ can shed light on crucial policy issues and shape new solutions to tackle deep political uncertainty.
The Bridges Project, a collaboration between Counterpoint and the Open Society European Policy Institute, explores the dynamics of human choice, collective thinking and sentiment, and political behaviour by bringing together ground-breaking researchers and high-level policy-makers to work through some of the most complex policy dilemmas facing open societies in Europe.
