Opinion Science

Founded in 2015, Opinion Science is a Paris-based research institute dedicated to social data analysis led by Justin Poncet and Jordan Ricker. It combines data collection, statistical sorting and machine learning to design new interpretive models of the digital public space.

Their team of political researchers, coders and digital communication experts focuses on the understanding of views and attitudes, mobilisation breakpoints and sensitive blind spots, emerging topics and narratives structures, new forms of leadership, alternative and rising opinion makers by monitoring signals of dissent in the public debate. With a multiplatform scraping equipment and AI-fuelled tools for fast data mining and processing, a thorough sorting architecture and highly developed filters for enhanced signals sifting and visualization, quality-quantitative constant back and forth and comparative work by highly skilled analysts, they produce large-scale, insightful and prospective studies.
