Counterpoint is recruting a senior analyst

As part of our project on climate populism and the European Green Deal we are looking for a part time senior analyst.  The position is intially three days per week, but could become full time in January.

Our ideal person has a background in politics, anthropology, or history–but, we’re open!  Knowledge of climate policy is an asset, but what really matters is good comparative skills, an interest in protest and mobilisation, knowldge of European politics, and excellent writing skills in English – fluent, accessible, compelling.  Fluency in (an)other European language(s) and culture(s) is also key.   Finally,  a track-record in project management, in synthesising complex information is important.  You might have been working in an INGO, a think tank, or as a journalist.  Solid academic credentials are always good, but creativity, attention to detail, and a drive to get the message across is what will impress us over and above that.

The project entails analysis, report-writing, but also liasing with authors and other project contributors, so being cool under pressure, being nice, and being dynamic are pretty important!

Counterpoint is based in London, but we would entertain the possibility of well-managed and reliable remote working from elsewhere in Europe.

If you’re interested, we would love to hear from you.  Please send us a letter, an example of your work, and your CV, as soon as possible to   The starting date is September 2020. Salary is commensurate with experience, competive pro-rata three days per week.

We look forward to hearing from you!
